Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation
On 10 June 2025 in Lyon, Jean-Claude Lavorel, CEO of the Lavorel Hotels Group, officially launched the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation. This personal initiative reflects a renewed commitment to two essential causes: the fight against cancer and the defence of children’s rights.
For several years now, through Lavorel Hotels, Jean-Claude Lavorel has already been taking action in support of solidarity, backing a range of local and national initiatives. The creation of this foundation aims to give these efforts greater structure, visibility, and long-term continuity.

Clear Priority Areas
The foundation focuses its efforts on two fundamental areas:
- Fighting cancer, by supporting research, prevention, and patient care initiatives.
- Protecting children, by offering help and support to those in vulnerable situations.
Concrete Action and Strong Partnerships
The Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation works with several respected and committed partners:
- Centre Léon Bérard: contributing to the organisation of the annual charity dinner – a key event to fund research and improve care.
- Ma Chance Moi Aussi: hosting events designed to bring joy and support to vulnerable children.
- Noël Ensemble: co-organising a festive Christmas Eve celebration for isolated elderly individuals.
- 2500 Voix: supporting this charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancers, notably through their fundraising dinner.
- SapoCycle: partnering with this European initiative that recycles hotel soaps, redistributing them – after processing – to disadvantaged communities.
In addition, the foundation lends support to other associations on an occasional basis, including Handicap International, L’Enfant Bleu, Wine Charity Event, and Café Joyeux, an inclusive social enterprise based in Lyon.
