Our history dates back more than a century, when two talented brothers, one a chef and the other a maître d', set about creating a haven of gastronomy and hospitality in the heart of the snow-capped Alps.
The years went by and, in 1924, the Palace became the property of the MARTIN family, a well-known hotel operator in Saint-Gervais, Megève and Nice. To preserve the elegance and charm for which the Palace was so renowned, major renovation work was carried out over the course of the ensuing decades.

The Palace de Menthon became a popular destination, attracting leading figures from the world of art, politics and business in the 1980s. At the turn of the 1990s, the hotel was given a fresh lease of life by new owners. The grounds were extended down to the beach and lakeside, while retaining all the Belle Époque charm of the establishment.

In 2018, the Palace became part of the Lavorel Hotels group, a collection of character establishments offering refinement and excellence.
